Topic and Domain Name

Hopefully you have an idea of your topic and can come up with some ideas for domain names. If so, you can skip this page.

This is a very tough topic to help people on, telling them how to come up with topics, domain names, keywords, and content, when I don’t know you. I do have a few helpful ideas and I will continue to post new ideas in my blog as I come up with them, so please visit my blog from time to time.

Topics:

The first thing I would suggest is to check out Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook, that I have discussed in the Marketing Products section. She goes into great detail, but discusses in very easy to understand terms, all of the above topics.

Domain Names:

When choosing a domain name, try to minimize the number of words (if someone can easily remember it, they will be more likely to type it and go to your site). For this site, Sauga Web Design, I felt it was easy enough to concatenate this as saugawebdesign.com and it was readable and easy to remember. If the wording requires punctuation, use dashes, like fair-trade-coffee-review.com.

Choose .com whenever possible. Com is the most common of all the suffixes and if someone only remembers your site name and guess at the suffix, they will likely guess .Com.
