Its always good to have a reference guide to thumb through no matter what you are working on. Here are a couple of good quality, beginner oriented guide to help you when you need to look something up. The first is WordPress For Dummies and if you are familiar with the Dummies series, it follows the same premise.
The next guide is titled WordPress: Visual QuickStart Guide and is every bit as easy to follow as the Dummies guide and delves maybe a bit deeper.
